Chemistry

My professional foundation began in chemistry, with a strong focus on organic synthesis and photochromic materials. I worked with fine chemical synthesis, advanced spectroscopic analysis, and the development of photosensitive compounds, studying how molecular structure influences material behavior and functionality.

This experience taught me precision, systems thinking, and the importance of understanding how small structural changes can create major functional differences. Chemistry shaped the way I approach problem-solving—carefully, methodically, and with attention to both theory and practical application.

Optics and Photonics

Further on I moved into optics and photonics, where my focus shifted more toward studying optical properties of materials and working with signal processing in optical systems. I also worked with materials used in holography and spent time exploring and developing holographic systems directly, and looking at how light can be structured to store and reconstruct information.

Overall, this mix of chemistry and photonics shaped the way I think about problems — less as isolated tasks, and more as systems where small changes in structure or input can lead to very different outcomes.

ViaTyping

Today, my primary focus is human-computer interaction through the ViaTyping project. I study typing not simply as a technical skill, but as a fundamental human interface with technology.

My research explores touch typing, typing biometrics, proprioceptive keyboards, user interaction patterns, and the role of comfort, rhythm, focus, and fatigue in digital work. I believe typing can become part of a much larger conversation about productivity, health, and cognitive performance.

The goal is simple: to create systems that help people work better—not only faster, but with more comfort, consistency, and long-term well-being.
